Ever since my days at University School, I have enjoyed participating in communities. My sense of commitment to communities as a way of providing service has evolved from my fraternity days, into my involvement with the Masons through Kane Lodge in New York City, currently as chaplain, and the Rotary Club of New York where I served as a trustee.

Other communities in which I have been active included the Brick Church of New York, where I served as a Deacon and an usher, the Southold Presbyterian Church, where I was an elder and performed music on several occasions.

Communities within Cornell University have always been a focus of my interest, from my undergraduate days to the present:

• Glee Club – Accompanist

• Theta Delta Chi Fraternity

• Sphinx Head Senior Honorary Society

• Continuous Reunion Club

Finally I have been involved with Landmark Education (Landmark Worldwide) for many years, finding in that experience a source for ongoing transformation, and support for ventures that embody a promise for the world: That all people experience the music of life lived in community.
